No Video or Audio Streaming: Strangora does not offer, support, or transmit webcam streams, video calls, or microphone audio. Any attempts to inject video or audio feeds or bypass text-only controls are prohibited.
Ephemeral Communications: Conversations are delivered in real time between connected users and are not routinely stored as chat history. Limited recent message context may be retained when an abuse report is submitted, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Access Modes: Users may participate either as an Instant Guest (with a temporary generated identifier) or via an optional registered account for handle persistence.
Free Operational Support: Strangora is free to use. Neutral placeholder notices or future third-party advertisements may be displayed to support server and hosting infrastructure, subject to applicable privacy and consent choices.

3. Community Standards & Prohibited Conduct

We are dedicated to maintaining a safe, respectful, and civil environment. You explicitly agree that you will NOT engage in, encourage, or facilitate any of the following activities:

Harassment & Hate Speech: Bullying, stalking, intimidation, extortion, doxxing, defamation, or hate speech targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
Sexually Explicit & Non-Consensual Content: Sexually explicit content, sexual solicitation, coercive or non-consensual sexual content, and sexual exploitation are prohibited. Respectful, non-explicit conversation between adults is allowed.
Child Harm & Exploitation: Strangora strictly prohibits content or conduct involving the sexual exploitation, abuse, or endangerment of minors. Such activity may be reported to appropriate law-enforcement agencies, child-protection authorities, or relevant child-safety reporting organizations, including NCMEC where applicable, when required by law or otherwise appropriate.
Financial Scams & Fraud: Soliciting money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, emergency cash, donations, pyramid schemes, fake investment opportunities, or commercial transactions.
Spam & Automated Bots: Transmitting automated spam, unsolicited commercial advertisements, phishing links, malware, or attempting to flood chat queues with bot scripts.
Impersonation & Deception: Impersonating any individual, entity, celebrity, law enforcement officer, or Strangora administrator.
Security Violations: Attempting to probe, scan, or compromise the vulnerability of our servers, bypass rate limits, perform denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, or intercept another user's communications.

4. User Safety & Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge that you are interacting with unvetted strangers across the internet. While Strangora provides blocking and reporting tools, you use the platform entirely at your own risk.

Safety Warning: Never disclose your real full name, physical home or workplace address, telephone number, email, financial or banking details, passwords, or personal social media handles to anyone on Strangora.

5. Moderation & Enforcement

To preserve community integrity, Strangora employs automated pattern filtering and user-initiated reporting workflows. We reserve the absolute right to:

Investigate reports of abusive or prohibited conduct submitted via the ⚠️ Report button.
Immediately terminate, disconnect, or restrict any user session, account, or access where technically feasible when found violating these Terms.
Cooperate fully with legitimate law enforcement inquiries concerning criminal conduct or threats to human safety.

6. User Accounts & Password Security

If you choose to create a registered user account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account. Strangora protects passwords using secure password hashing and does not store readable plaintext passwords.

7. Intellectual Property

All brand names, trademarks, logos, interface designs, icons, color schemes, software code, and textual assets associated with Strangora are the exclusive intellectual property of Strangora and its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, STRANGORA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, BUG-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL STRANGORA, ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, OR EMPLOYEES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM, OR FOR ANY CONTENT, CONDUCT, OR COMMUNICATIONS TRANSMITTED BY ANY THIRD PARTY USER.

1. Information We Collect

We adhere to strict data minimization principles. We only collect the minimal technical and profile information necessary to deliver real-time text chat:

A. Instant Guest Users

Random Unique ID: An automatically generated guest identifier (e.g., US-492104-Z8K) used to identify your session during a connection.
Self-Reported Preferences: The display handle/nickname you enter, your selected age, your self-identified gender, and your selected country.
Temporary Session ID: A temporary connection identifier used to deliver real-time messages during your active chat session.

B. Registered Account Users (Optional)

Account Credentials: Your registered email address and a securely hashed password. Plaintext passwords are never saved or stored.
Profile Data: Display handle, age, self-identified gender, and country.

C. Technical & Diagnostic Logs

Network and Security Information: Your IP address may be processed temporarily to protect the service, apply rate limits, and verify anti-bot checks. Strangora does not store IP addresses in its database or application logs. In-memory rate-limit records expire after approximately 15 minutes. Infrastructure providers such as Cloudflare and Render may independently process network information in accordance with their own policies.
Report Evidence (When Submitted): Normal conversations are not routinely stored as chat history. When an abuse report is submitted, up to the last 5 messages from that active conversation may be retained with the report for safety and moderation review. This message evidence is automatically deleted after 30 days.
Browser Storage: We use your device's browser storage to store your Dark/Light theme preference and maintain active chat state across page refreshes.

2. Real-Time Text Chat Architecture & Ephemerality

Strangora is an anonymous, text-only communication platform:

No Routine Chat History: Normal conversations are not routinely stored as chat history. Messages sent in chat are delivered in real time to the intended recipient. We do not archive text chat logs for marketing or profiling.
Abuse Report Evidence: When an abuse report is submitted, up to the last 5 messages from that active conversation may be retained with the report for safety and moderation review. This message evidence is automatically deleted after 30 days.
No Video or Voice Recording: Strangora does not provide camera, microphone, voice-call, or video-call features, and we never access, record, or process camera streams or microphone audio.
User Discretion: Remember that chat recipients can take screenshots or copy text from their own screen. Always maintain your personal privacy and never share sensitive information.

3. How We Use Collected Data

We use collected data solely for the following legitimate purposes:

To establish your real-time text chat sessions and route messages accurately.
To display the online users lobby with correct presence badges and country flags.
To apply your chosen gender filters (All, Male, Female, Non-Binary) in the discovery lobby.
To process user moderation actions, including blocking and reviewing abuse reports.
To maintain platform uptime, prevent spam bot floods, and protect service integrity.
Strangora may display advertising in the future. Appropriate privacy and consent controls will be provided where required before such advertising is enabled.

4. Cookies & Browser Storage

Strangora does not use invasive third-party cross-site tracking cookies. We utilize standard browser storage strictly for essential functionality:

strangora_theme: Remembers whether you prefer Dark Mode or Light Mode.
strangora_session: Retains your active chat tabs, unread count, and handle temporarily in your browser storage so you do not lose your conversation when refreshing the page. This data clears when you close your browser or click the Strangora logo to exit.
strangora_analytics_consent: Remembers past analytics preferences (currently dormant while third-party analytics is disabled).

5. First-Party Aggregate Operational Analytics

Strangora maintains an internal, privacy-preserving operational analytics system to measure product performance, platform capacity, and feature conversion. This aggregate system tracks high-level counts, specifically: page visits, guest sessions, registrations, logins, quick match attempts, successful matches, conversations started, and abuse reports submitted.

To protect user anonymity, our first-party analytics system strictly adheres to the following principles:

Zero Sensitive Data Storage: The first-party analytics database does not store chat contents, account email addresses, user nicknames, Strangora user IDs, or device fingerprints.
No IP Address Storage: While upstream network proxies and web servers necessarily process IP addresses to route internet traffic, raw IP addresses are never stored in our first-party analytics database or linked to analytics counters.
Aggregate Daily Counters Only: Metrics are stored solely as anonymous UTC daily counters, not as individual user activity logs or behavioral profiles.

6. Third-Party Analytics Status

Google Analytics is currently disabled and Strangora does not currently send website analytics events to Google Analytics. Strangora may introduce optional or regionally appropriate third-party analytics in the future, subject to applicable privacy and consent requirements.

7. Advertising & Commercial Messages

Strangora is designed to remain free to use. To support platform infrastructure and hosting costs, Strangora intends to introduce third-party advertising in the future. As of the current release:

No Live Third-Party Advertisements: Strangora currently does not serve live third-party advertising networks, and no external ad network scripts (such as Google AdSense or DoubleClick) are loaded.
Neutral Placeholders Only: Any visible advertisement spaces on the platform are static, neutral placeholders containing generic labels.
Analytics Separation: Google Analytics remains disabled, and first-party aggregate operational analytics does not store or process advertising identifiers or personal profiles.
Future Consent & Privacy Choices: Before activating third-party advertising, Strangora intends to implement applicable privacy and consent mechanisms, which may include a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) in regions where such mechanisms are required.
External Links: Clicking any external links in the future will direct you to third-party services governed by their own independent privacy policies.

8. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal data or communications to third parties. We will only disclose information if required to do so by law, such as in response to a valid court order, subpoena, or urgent law enforcement request concerning illegal activity or imminent physical danger.

We implement technical safeguards to protect your communications. All traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS). User passwords are protected using industry-standard one-way cryptographic hashing.

10. Your Data Rights & Account Deletion

You have full control over your experience on Strangora. If you are an Instant Guest, your session data is ephemeral and clears upon disconnection. If you have registered an account, you can delete your account directly at any time from your profile menu ("Delete My Account"), or request account deletion by contacting support at support@strangora.com. Deleting your account permanently removes your record from our user database.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect technological updates or legal standards. Changes are effective upon posting with a revised Last Updated date.

That user is instantly blocked for your active session (and registered accounts are permanently blocked from contacting you). Because unregistered guest identifiers are temporary, you can always block or exit any unwanted conversation immediately.
⚠️ Report User: If a user violates community guidelines, solicits money, or engages in abusive conduct, click the ⚠️ Report User button and select the reason. When a report is submitted, up to the last 5 messages from that active conversation may be retained with the report for safety review and are automatically deleted after 30 days.
✖️ Exit at Any Time: You are never obligated to stay in a conversation. Click the ✖️ Close button or switch users whenever you want. You owe no stranger an explanation.
